Rules for the Exhibitors


  1. Entries will be accepted up to 10.15 a.m. on the day. Alternatively you can phone through your entries in advance to Gill Marshall 01430 423075 alternatively email your entries to by midnight Saturday 26th August 2020
  2.  The building will be open from 8.15 a.m. until 10.15 a.m. on the moming of the show for staging and arranging of exhibits. All exhibitors must leave the building by 10.30 a.m.
  3. Entries are limited to TWO per class per exhibitor, unless otherwise stated. Separate entry form for each entrant.
  4. The entry fee for all classes is 25p, except for children’s classes which are free. PRIZE MONEY FOR ALL CLASSES 1st – £2, 2nd – £1, 3rd -50P   POINTS AWARDED ARE 1ST-4, 2ND -2 , 3RD-1
  5. All plants, flowers, vegetables etc. must have been grown by the exhibitor unless otherwise stated.
  6.  All handicrafts and preserves must have been made/created by the exhibitor.
  7.  Exhibitors must adhere strictly to the numbers of sprays, blooms and vegetables, where stated.
  8. Exhibitors are asked to retum cups and trophies to Jennifer Clarkson one month before the show. Please make sure your trophy is clean and has been inscribed with your name. (01430422419)
  9. An exhibitor may lodge an objection before 3.00 p.m. on the day of the show. The complaint should be put in writing and handed to the Show Secretary and be accompanied by a fee of £1 , which is non-refundable.
  10. The judge’s decision is final. Judges are empowered to withhold prizes where exhibits are not considered to be of sufficient merit.
  11. The Committee will not be responsible for any losses or damage to the exhibits but every care will be taken of them.
  12. Exhibits must be collected by 4.30p.m on show day. Any remaining exhibits after this time will be deemed property of the show.
